It collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no server to send anything to.
Australian_ABCD_journals reads the journal names already printed on the Google Scholar results page you are looking at, matches them against a copy of the ABDC Journal Quality List stored inside the extension, and draws ratings onto that page. All of it happens inside your browser.

Four preferences — the on/off switch, the fade-unrated option, and which tiers to show — are saved with Chrome's storage API so they survive a restart and follow your Chrome profile if you have sync switched on. They contain no personal data. |
Questions you might reasonably ask
No. The extension makes no network requests. The journal list ships inside the extension itself, which is also why it works with no connection.
To do its one job: find the journal name in each result and draw a rating onto it. The permission is limited to Google Scholar domains. It cannot read any other site.
Nothing is collected, so there is nothing to share, sell or transfer. No third party receives data from this extension, and it is not used for advertising, credit assessment, lending, or for any purpose unrelated to showing journal ratings.
Uninstalling the extension from Chrome deletes the stored settings. There is nothing held elsewhere for anyone to delete.
A changed policy will be posted on this page with a new date above, and the extension listing will point at it. Material changes to what data is handled would ship as a new version with updated permissions, which Chrome asks you to approve.
